I am a 17 year old home schooled spoken word artist, born in Barbados, West Indies, raised in Jamaica, New York. Through pen power I made it to the semi-finals in the Knicks Poetry Slam, won a scholarship to Black Girls Rock Camp; and was recently nominated for the Rising Star Award - NYC Parks. My love for sports has made me an avid golfer- First Tee NY; NYC Parks - swim team ;and a host of other activities. Alternative medicine is my passion because I'm amazed by the workings of the human body.

I am a high school senior from Bronx, New York. I attend school at Belmont Preparatory where I am a founder of the student union. I enjoy being able to help students make healthy recipes that they can share with their families. I also love to swim.
As a youth leader, I've been exposed to so many cultural backgrounds and how their struggles are similar to mine. I have worked on college campaigns and food justice campaigns. That is why my desire is to get my community to incorporate healthy eating habits into our daily lives. My personal philosophy is that it doesn't matter who you are and have but rather what you aspire yourself to become.
